Staging for Homeowners

As a homeowner who will live in your home while it’s on the market, chances are, you understand that staging is important, otherwise you wouldn’t be here right now. If you’re not so sure, please read Why Staging is Important!

OK, now that you’re sure … did you know you have choices in how you go about having your home staged.

Staging Consultations

The first choice is a DIY-method of staging. You schedule a consultation with First Impression Design, and we’ll come out, assess your home and provide you with a detailed plan for what should be removed, what should be added and low-cost repairs that should be made to get the property ready for sale.

First Impression Design’s only goal is the same as your goal — to ensure you get the most money on the sale of your home in the shortest amount of time on the market.

Owner, Jodi Bader, knows first-hand what buyers are looking for from a 10-year career as a real estate agent prior to pursuing her career in staging. This unique understanding allows her to create a staging plan that will accentuate the best qualities about your home and detract from things that she knows will be a turn-off for buyers. You can trust that the plan you receive, fully implemented, will help reach your goal.

As elderly sellers, we were not looking forward to the frustrations of selling and being on the market for 90+ days (the average days on market for our neighborhood). It was your expertise, your eye for design, color and space that made our home look amazing! We received many compliments and were able to sell our home quickly (less than a week) and for over asking price. We are very happy with this outcome and will strongly recommend you to others.

What if it’s too much for you to DIY? Don’t fret. We’ve got you covered.

Full Service Staging

If the whole prospect of staging your home for the sale, while also maintaining all the other things you do in your life sounds too daunting, let us take away some of the stress. After our consultation, First Impression Design can provide you with a proposal to do the staging work for you — helping you preserve your sanity while getting the most value out of your home.

Our team of highly skilled professionals will provide you with an easy-to-follow plan for packing and prepping your home. We’ll take it from there, taking the time to understand the exactly who the potential buyers are so we bring in just the right elements to appeal to that particular demographic — be it bachelors, young families, retirees. We stage for the home, the price point and the buyer.

Unlike other stagers in the area, we don’t keep a small inventory of items that we use over and over in each home we stage. We maintain a large inventory of the basics according to home style — contemporary, beach cottage, transitional and more — then we provide the special touches to top it all off that will set your home apart from the rest.
